Really wanted to enjoy this, and it started out with a really interesting premise. All of the early scenes in Vietnam feel really unique for a Korean film and it was exciting working out where the film was going to take it.
It goes completely off the boil once they go back to Korea, and honestly feels like a below-average TV drama after the first 45 minutes. The action scenes remain quite entertaining throughout, but it's not enough to make up for the thoroughly uncompelling story.
Have to say all of the 9 and 10 star reviews scream of kdrama fans who are completely incapable of giving anything Korean a bad review. It's one of the worse Korean films I've seen in the last year unfortunately.
Overall, story 3/10, watching Don Lee smash the absolute crap out of several people 7/10, overall result is bang average with some fun set pieces and fight scenes.
