A well told story of prejudice and child abuse . I am not sure a good resolution would be as easily worked out as this one was even today. I did however feel part of it may be a combination of Ben's standing in the community and the villain of the episode Aaron Gore ( Victor French)was not a biological or adoptive father of the young boy Britcher Green. It's also the magic of a television script. Dawn Wells plays a Native American which would be far less likely today but for the time I think it worked better than most attempts at this type of casting. She plays Moon newly married to new Cartwright worker Will Holt and she befriends the young Britcher Green who is bright and energetic but quite lonely and unhappy. They ultimately protect each other and Will and the Cartwrights protect them both. I was never sure if Aaron went willingly or maybe did do time more than likely though it was a deal go free and leave town without Britcher who he cared nothing about. Overall one of the best episodes with a happy ending as Moon, Will and Britcher become a family.
