Anjaniputra (2017)
9/10
An enjoyable better remake of Poojai with memorable action and background score
21 August 2022
Anjani putra is an intense, racy action film with masala entertainment. It is adapted from Vishal's Poojai, which has more racier action sequences.

As usual, Punneth Rajkumar uses his stardom in the film and is also a good performer with his action and dance skills. Rashmika Mandanna has nothing to do, but their on-screen chemistry is good. Ramya Krishnan has a strong character and is apt as Punneth Rajkumar's mother. Comedian Mukesh Tiwari (who also played the same role in Poojai) is good as villain, but lacks the menacing chacracter, who gave stiff competition to Vishal in Tamil Version. Chikkanna ,Giri and Sadhu Kokila entertain with good comedy sequence, which was retained from original version but with a difference for Kannada audience.

The action sequences choreographed by Ravi Varma and Vijay and performed featuring Punneth Rajkumar from intro scene to the climax scene are jaw dropping, racy and entertaining. Background score and Music are top notch from KGF music director Ravi Basrur. Harsha's direction and story written by Hari (who written and directed the Tamil Version ) are good, but if he had added some more twist and trimmed down some songs unlike the Tamil version, then it was more entertaining.

Therefore, Anjani Putra main assets are cast performances, good action sequences, music and background score. Go watch it on SUN NXT for action-packed entertainer.
