Ricky tries to prevent Lucy from attending a Paris fashion show. He originally got Lucy and Ethel invitations but Fred warns him of the potential cost and Ricky tries to be a little underhanded. It doesn't work. Lucy promises she is only going to look but we all know better. What happens from there is a fake hunger strike on Lucy's part a willing partner in Ethel helping Lucy get food and Ricky and Fred playing what I personally think is one of their better revenge plots and showing the dresses were not so hard to make.
Some other very funny segments are Ricky and Fred's reaction to the fashion show dresses and Lucy and Ethel showing off their designs and then realizing they are not from the designer and trying to cover up in a public place! Look for the onlookers amused reactions. Underrated classic.
