What a mess!

Brenda Hampton (Creator/Exec Prod) has written more episodes in this 7th series, but can't seem to be able to steer the ship back around to anything that resembles quality.

I am bored to the back teeth of the ongoing Lucy/Kevin/Roxanne saga. Kevin took the lead in being the jealous one this time around, and over what really?!

Roxanne acted out of character massively (not that she's been allowed to be much of a character at all - the back story they gave her felt massively tacked on) and Lucy continues to be hysterical. And not in the good way.

Robbie was 'studying', which seeing as Adam LaVorgna got the chop, could end up being a very long study session.

Chandler is looking one of the better new additions, but the knock on effect of his arrival being that Eric now doesn't want to be a Priest sends us again into 'Jump the Shark' territory.

Seeing as she has written so many of the episodes lately I think the blame for the shows very sudden decline can only be placed at Hampton's door. She dealt with the departure of Mary badly, and the new characters haven't gelled at all.

It's a shame to see what was such a good show seemingly now in freefall.
