Another great episode of this series, this time centered on a teenager that witnesses a murder. The boy calls the police but when they ask his name and address, doesn't answer. Sugimura, as always, decides to investigate. We then discover that the victim was blackmailing people and that more than one or two persons may have benefitted from her death. It is a well-rounded episode, the cast as always top-notch, the mystery of why the boy is afraid of the police, well explained and developed, and, as sometimes in the series, it adds social commentary on Japanese society. This is one of the best procedurals ever.
