Warning: Spoilers
Seinfeld Season 4 was the best of the show, and it starts off with a bang, continuing off the cliffhanger of Season 3's "The Keys", where Kramer vanishes for Hollywood after an argument with Jerry.

After re-watching the first 3 seasons leading up to this, and continuing through Season 6, I can safely say this is where the show finds its direction - there were funny episodes and attempts to get the show an identity, but a multi-episode arc was needed and it delivers. Kramer comes out of his shell completely, and really takes off from here, and it all starts with him getting out of the house and leaving the recluse life behind.

Jerry and George going to Hollywood segues nicely into the NBC offer for the pilot, and George manages to get mentioned on the Tonight Show, but not in the way he would like.

The sad part is the lack of Elaine, but understood in retrospect as Julia Louis-Dreyfus was pregnant for much of the season.

From here, you see the show really grow and become the massive hit we all come to know and love, but it wouldn't have happened without "The Keys", and "The Trip, Parts I and II"
