I remember this movie Smash Up on Interstate 5 as a kid. I was so hyped as a child after watching the promo. A B C and the other networks really knew how to hype a show and I ate up the red meat. During Covid, bored out of my mind, I decided to relive my childhood find this old movie of the week. Like all 70's disasters films there is the sappy character development of the victims before the horrid event. A emotion lost women, never pick up hitch hiker story, terminal ill character etc. Cornballish is what my dad use to say would describe the characters. The directing and acting was done on the fast and the cheap! The story took to long to develop before the big stunt man (fall guy) stunts for the ending. The big ending keep the viewer watching or dredging threw Smash-Up on Interstate 5! Well. Smash-Up on Interstate 5 does not age well. 6 stars.
