Linda wins a weekend to participate in a LARP ( live action role play) . The show is Winthorp Manor ( Tina calls the American Downton Abby) . Bob is unenthusiastic having never watched the show and not really caring about acting it out .
They arrive and Linda to her dismay learns she will be playing a servant. The woman she's a personal maid to takes full advantage. In fact most of them take it pretty seriously. Linda wasn't aware this is how many people get into this kind of activity and it chafes her own spontaneous, enthusiastic and joyous personality. It gets worse when she's demoted to an even lower service as the woman she's serving is unhappy with Linda's lack of subservience. Bob on the other hand while still playing a servant is invited to join the elite smoking, drinking brandy and on outdoor activities. He loves it!
With Bob's help Linda arranges a revolt and the servants start eating the seven course dinner they are not allowed to eat. It all ends up in a food fight when the owners of the manor finally catch them. Everyone is thrown off the property.
The kid's meanwhile have Teddy as a babysitter but his back goes out . It's doesn't improve overnight and the kids use the bathroom door to haul Teddy to his chiropractor! The doctor though is attending a family event so the kids push him to that where the doctor fixes Teddy's back .
Back home Linda appreciates living in contemporary times and the kids warn their parents they might notice the bathroom door is missing but as the kids say it's better off . Think of the life is had and what it's seen ! They sit back to watch Winthorp Manor.
