Well it's really a mixed bag to be honest because I want to really like this show & give it an 8 or a 9 or whatever. A tattoo competition is an awesome idea to be quite honest. But I will judge this show instead like the judges (Oliver Peck & Chris Nunez) judge tattoos meaning I ain't here to tell you what is good about it but instead I will tell you all of what's bad about it lmao. Ok well lets get into it with that being said. Ok... free tattoos or not it's not humanly right to literally torture human canvases (some of the challenges are a bit extreme like 4 people tattooing a person at the same time wtf) so at times this show has went too far for my liking. Anyway there needs to be a better way of more fairly judging expecially in the finale because half of the time they reward the wrong person the title of "ink master". How is it a fair competition when half the time the judges reward the wrong person is beyond me to be honest, I mean what is this boxing lmao. Also the runner up should get a consolation prize or something like ten grand for secound place & five grand for 3rd place seems more than reasonable for what they put these tattoo artists through. The winner gets a hundred grand plus so much more and again half the time it's the wrong dang tattoo artist who the judges reward the title of "ink master" to which is a big problem. Might as well rename the show "judge master" since the show is all about who the judges want to win which is sad smh. Glad those judges are gone now & new season has started recently so crossing fingers that it's going to be better than past seasons. Even though there was certain seasons I really liked like the seasons when they rewarded the right tattoo artist for example duh lmao. I will give it a 7 out of 10 for now but maybe that's being too kind or at least kinder than the past judges lmao. I want to be fair however & it did seem to get a little bit better season 7 & up. My rating could change in the future slightly by a point at most so maybe 6 maybe 8 but for now 7 out of 10 seems fair.
