Christians Good, Atheists Bad
13 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In what would later be known as the crown jewel of lazy tropes in bad Christian "cinema", Atheists are portrayed as conniving, judgmental bullies that have nothing better to do than to bring Christians down. As such, the good Christian protagonist (played none other by eventual "God's Not Dead" producer David A. R. White), is depicted as a humble, clean cut, goody goody hero who destroys the stupid atheists with his own logic that makes them in turn look like the two-bit morons they're portrayed to be.

On top of all this, the supporting protagonist is a recently converted atheist who's depicted as being foolish, headstrong, and whiny. The most surreal thing about movies made by these types of Christians is the fact that they wonder why they get judged or picked on so harshly. And then you discuss these movies and realize that they're belittling an entire group of people and making assumptions about them as a whole. Unbeknownst to them, this approach is not only childish but also mean spirited.
