I started watching this show and loved the basics of it - karate, competing dojos, competition, rivalry, good guys vs bad guys, etc. The stories and character arcs of Miguel, Hawk, Robbie - AWESOME.
However, this season goes WAY over the top as multiple main characters literally commit felonies such as breaking into a home assaulting someone (IN THEIR OWN HOME) and then trying to MURDER them with daggers (this was JUST in this episode. Not even mentioning the fact that Terry Silver BURNED DOWN a furniture store just the owner of the fortnite store because talked to Terry Silver's rival). And why did they break into someone's home and try to murder them? Because they're a rival karate dojo owner. Yes, you read that right. Because of KARATE. If this show took place in real life, LaRusso, Lawrence, and Chozen would all be going to jail for breaking and entering, trespassing, assault, you name it. I just don't understand what the writers were thinking... is Cobra Kai supposed to be a kids show now?
I'm a big fan of this show, even have posters and shirts. I'm hoping that the next season redeems the show and focuses on the BASICS. Karate, rivalry, competition, good vs bad WITHOUT all the over-the-top unrealistic stuff.
