The only reason I watched this movie is because of its start, Edris Alba, one of my fav actors. I didn't expect much from a movie about a rogue lion. But I was pleasantly surprised at the storyline and especially the acting. I mean, in a movie like this, it's got to be difficult to not "act" in such a fantasy film. But the acting was, imo, spot on. These people really believed there was a rogue lion out to get them. I was watching for some silliness, but found none. For the reviewer comparing lions to domestic cats...the point was missed -- this was a fantasy movie, not a movie about a real lion and how he compares to a cat. I liked it, was entertained and would see it again on the big screen. Good final fight scene, too, along with good CGI. I didn't give it 10 stars because I thought it could have included more background details on the characters.
