Adrian Brody's sarcastic narration was the voice of a self aware genre parody. Oyelowo (Selma, Queen of Katwe) is among the fine cast who were underused, which was unfortunate. The investigation would have more sparks if it involved more than mainly the hilarious and loveable Ronan (Grand Budapest Hotel, Brooklyn) and Rockwell (The way way back, 3 billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri)... Nonetheless, the story knew when to end, keeping it short and sweet. This film was almost as fun as its contemporary, Knives Out (an 8 to me). I look forward to seeing more non-franchise original screen plays with quality production on the big screen.
