Pieces are moving in almost every storyline this episode. It feels somewhat like a Season Premiere, and probably should have been, but the last episodes were cut short to eight, because of numerous reasons related to external problems.
The car chase is really well done and reminiscing of The Key from Season 8. The camera work is on point, and the stakes are real. Hornsby continues pushing in, as a swarm closes in the community, while all the mayhem is happening and starting to matter.
The common folk wants justice and enforcers are stopping them from all sides. Carol also works with Negan this episode, which is a terrific payoff, after seeing the results of them working together before with Alpha, but never the process.
Overall, Lockdown does what it needs to and provide the thrills. It is set up done well and the music is also good whenever Calhoun and Shira are on screen.
