The Walking Dead: A New Deal (2022)
Season 11, Episode 18

Insane Ending

Warning: Spoilers
A New Deal features a lot of sadness and nostalgia, and you feel the end of the show is near. Cailey Fleming is phenomenal and portrays Judith in such a wonderful but nuanced manner. Daryl still continues to shine and explores parenting complications.

The whole thing is a build up for Sebastian to come out and do a speech after Hornsby has been framed. Pamela wants to control the situation. However, Eugene and Max have other plans, and the end is brilliantly foreshadowed by their talk with Hornsby.

They are ready to burn it all indeed, and Sebastian doesn't help the situation, he just cowards and turns to his grandfather. The ending is classic Walking Dead and the imagery is astounding. The walkers have been let loose inside the community, and the people won't help Sebastian one bit, who decided to go after Max.

It all plays like a chaotic event and the people are left contemplating Sebastian's face getting devoured by a walker, just like Noah in Season 5. The implosion is complete, and the tape plays over the credits.

Overall, really loved the build up, but it's the finale that make this episode truly memorable. Can't wait for next week !
