This movie is terrible. It does not make any sense that she did not shoot him when he put the gun in her hands. Anyone would have done so. Also, who hitch hikes at the age of 14? And if they do, I'm sorry it is their own parents fault that they aren't teaching them the seriousness of strangers.
The way there is so much changed from the real story speaks for itself. I can assume the real victim had nothing to do with this.
