This is one those classic Scooby-Doo episodes sort made for Halloween and certainly reminds me of like Amityville Horror movies and Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror like Bad Dream House or high-tech house, infatuated with Marge and tries to eliminate Homer.
The mystery isn't much predictable as Velma said about solving the mystery and they have to capture the robot Jeeves - I wasn't surprised that after destroying the robot by locking it in the flooded bathroom (like the girl in opening segment), nobody was inside the robot's circuitry. Even Fred brings up Professor Ostwald being the only suspect when the two young brothers and television star Horatio were ruled out. There was a culprit definitely with a nightmarish voice and attention-seeking desire as motive, before Velma cleverly knew how to stop to it.
