Inheriting a classic car from his grandfather (John Anderson, who was still alive when this was broadcast and makes a few bows), MacGyver sees it stolen before his eyes and finds himself in a race for a diamond pendant.
Many familiar faces from the 1980s, including executive producer Henry Winkler. Henry Gibson's brief role is smile-worthy. Abe Vigoda, who has the biggest guest role, is most enjoyable. He hasn't had a part this good since Fish. The rest are blink-and-you'll-miss-them.
I don't really understand this episode or why it was made, unless the writers were running on empty. But it's not as bad as it sounds.
Lots of silliness but mostly harmless.
