Family Guy: Oscars Guy (2022)
Season 21, Episode 1
1/10
This is just an offensive take on these beloved movies.

This episode is just one big question on why am I still watching this show, even though it hasn't been funny in the past decade. I used to love watching Family Guy when I was younger, but now it's either dull or painfully unfunny. I feel sorry for Seth MacFarlane because he has to keep being involved with these episodes by voicing some of the characters, even though he stated on an interview that the show should just end already. Now someone here might be asking why I keep watching this show when it has a new episode when I'm sick and tired of it. The answer to that is I'm just too familiar with how Family Guy works and I just keep thinking it might be a hidden gem, when it's painfully obvious that it's never going to happen as much again.

The episode overall was not enjoyable in the slightest. In fact, all it does it just makes cheap jokes with how all of the movies were made in the 90s and expects people to laugh about how it was set in the aforementioned decade. Seriously, one joke throughout the episode was just referencing the only licensed song that appeared in the episode. I felt like I wanted to stop watching it after the first skit was over, but unfortunately the familiarity of the show made me watch it more to see if any of it was good. I was dead wrong on that hypothesis.

I just want to stop watching new episodes of this show thanks to this one. It clearly shows me that Fox doesn't care about the quality of their programming whatsoever and that they'll do anything to keep shows like this afloat. It doesn't feel like an overall achievement anymore from watching this garbage, as I haven't felt like a huge fan of Family Guy since I was 13. I feel like Fox could do a huge favor and end the show already, since it's only squeezing a little over a million viewers per episode.
