Once again overlooking the obvious

What is up with this reboot of Unsolved Mysteries?

Just like the previous seasons, instead of 2-4 cases per episode like the original, we get one LONG case stretched out way too much for not much of a story. This format is to the show's detriment, as this case of obvious suicide and parents who can't come to terms with that would have felt a lot less pointless if it had been only one of the cases presented here.

Unfortunately that didn't happen, instead we get way too much information about how sad everyone is. It's tragic, we get that. But how is your sadness going to help us solve your case? What sense does that make? Why do they keep spending 1/2 these cases on the victim impact? This isn't a trial.

A huge piece was glossed over and ignored shortly thereafter: she had committed credit card fraud. That's a big deal. She got scared that her parents snapped at her and made a poor choice of judgement. That's all that happened. The shoes found at a distance? Have you ever heard of dogs or wild animals? Dog probably found the shoes, carried them off for a bit. Doesn't mean she was murdered.

What I think this case is actually about: well-off family financially can't accept daughter's suicide, hire high priced detective, it is in the detective's best interest to keep the case going. No mystery here.

Please stop the one case per episode. It's boring.
