Well its about the boy - our main character, when he tossed out from the institution, his journey started,,
His father says he is sending him to The Tin Mine,, where anyone would rarely want to start their new life/a part of their life I would say,, he leaves by knowing there is no hope for him in there, all his hopes are now centered by his new destination Tin Mine..
(One special thing to mention when he was talking to old guy he says, he came here to save some money so that when he gets out of this place he can marry his girlfriend that he had to leave behind, Old man says: Whether you go to China or somewhere in the world a girl waits for you only for three years, after that if she finds a new lover, the girl can't be blamed)
He stars to work there may be as a surveyor,, he slowly gets acquainted with everyone,, In this movie definitely the writings is very beautiful because when the main character describe about the rain sun working alcohol everything is so beautiful said and written For example: it says(as far as I remember): We don't stay looking at the sky but we look at the end date of the month also we look at the emptiness of the alcohol glass.
Here the Tin Mine boss drinks with everyone and whenever he see a child without a shirt, he gives them money to buy shirt and the whole village children come without shirt to get money - the boss also without hesitation distribute the money among everyone.
Actually in very rural place - rural or not people who work at very low level they have only alcohol for their entertainment to forget all days tiredness,sadness(like the Sylhet tea worker drink every night cheap alcohol)
One days the boy receives a letter from his girlfriend,, the letter was about wedding invitation He drank the whole night with the old man, and writes in the wall that past is a dream - present is starvation - future is death Old man rewrite the sentences like past is a dream - present is starvation - endure it
Ohh Tin Mine machine broke and the project is dropped, everybody goes to a new Mining project, here the boss says: Archin you have a long way to go and lots have to learn.
There is a shopkeeper says to, Archin everyone is leaving as the way they came, you too when you had come, you had to borrowed money now before you go clean all the borrowed.
Archin happily gives the shopkeeper all he had, earned at the end, he realised/maybe when he came here his motive to earn/save some money was gone now he has his life to start again.
I would like conclude by saying that movie isn't so special but it is beautifully finished and done and IMDb rating is great.
At the end of the movie you will know that the movie is based on a real ife experience written by our main character.
He actually lived that life and wrote all the experiences in a book, from the book today what we have is this movie.
Maybe In my life there is a huge possibility that I would not have read that written thai book but from the this movie I gets to gather others parts of the world experience little a bit.
