What happend to once very funny, witty, innovative & sharp Family Guy?
I loved this show so much. But not anymore.
The last few seasons have been borderline unwatchable, while the current one is just horrible: not funny, not innovative, not sharp anymore. Sharp punchlines & stories are just not there anymore. There's no dark humor there anymore whatsoever. We've been left with extremely lame "jokes".
What happened to Seth MacFarlane & his team of writers? All the trademarks of once great show - the trademarks that made the show great - are gone. This not a comedy show anymore. It's morphing more into an animated drama series. So weird.
For me, a Gen X guy, this show has lost all the appeal after so many great seasons. Today it's lame, it's tame, it's not funny, it's too PC, even too preachy sometimes. I guess it's a generational matter & issue. So sad. I just can watch the show anymore. I'm done with it. Goodbye, Family Guy! You'll be missed.
