Tom Terrific director, Gene Val Gene, doing his best to make turnip soda out of sour Russian root vegetables by having the last laugh against the Red Commie KGB operatives who lured him behind the nefarious Iron Curtain with an objective of coercing him to imbue Tom & Jerry episodes with subliminal Soviet propaganda messages intended to demoralize the American populace. BUDDIES THICKER THAN WATER tries to convey the thought that the Commies, embodied by Jerry the Rodent Pest, fought as an ally in name only against the Prussians, overlooking the fact that they were for the Fuhrer before they were against him. However, Gene the Valiant reminds us that the Jerry's of this world would sooner throw a loyal American like Tom the Cat off a high-rise balcony ledge than serve as a True Friend.
