This episode features some great moments for the show, moments which are taken from other things, however have more effect because of the brilliant build up and more compelling characters. Eleven off on her own for a bit is very entertaining and epic, Mike's pure friendship is shown at full capacity and Jonathan and Nancy's trauma brings them closer in teen horror drama that is actually well written. Hopper and Joyce's teem up provide some needed exposition which is a slower point of this episode but still very necessary. It very nicely explains and ties up things, whilst elements of the mystery remain ambiguous. Definitely a stand out of the season.
