Who's cutting onions? Great ending to a season of fighters chewed and tossed by the Navy...

I'm embracing the suck. No spoilers, but if you (like me) wasn't very happy with the previous episode (or this season in general) this episode might give you some relief. I like where the show is going, that the characters are not just 'one trick pony' Rambo characters but the show displays the multifaceted external and internal struggle of war fighters and the utter meaninglessness of US war fighting in the 2k-millennia. These wars are designed to drag on and churn the war machine - never to be won - and this show does a great job portraying that. It shows the toll of endless war fighting not only on the soldiers & their families, but also the disconnect between them and command (well portrayed in the evolving character and career of Lisa Davis).

War is dirty business and the military isn't perfect, heck - it's pretty guilty. With US navy servicemen in my family I've seen first hand what it does to families when fighters are broken and tossed out by the Navy. This show displays that in a way that's challenging yet respectful both of the Navy and all those who sacrificed - thanks to the crew for that - even though with one of the Bravos cleaning up his act the show lacks the raging alcoholics we all know the Navy produces en masse...

Show is great, hoping there's a season 8. I keep paying Paramount just for this and just hope it doesn't take forever this time.
