Warning: Spoilers
I guess since we are talking about black/African American/dark skinned people the underprivileged in whatever race you want to place them in, I'll move forward with what I'm about to say! I'm white/Caucasian/east European or whatever you want to call "light skinned" basically the privileged. Well, I'm a nurse now but I grew up extremely poor and if you think we were treated any different than what you are describing you would be very incorrect and grossly misinformed because we were mistreated, turned away and misdiagnosed because we didn't have money for testing and the normal healthcare people with good insurance had. So, that being said we have had issues with it just like you. You, Oprah Winfrey grew up here in podunk Mississippi and you know the facts but because you've gotten so far above your raising you have decided that only black people are oppressed when that's simply not true. Money is what drives this world especially in healthcare there are so many people with no health insurance or a plan that is affordable but doesn't pay for anything without a high out of pocket amount that you'd still have to make such a high payment to have a test that they cannot afford it. These are the ones who are turned away daily. Not just black and not just some races but all people who are poor and underprivileged are the ones turned away from the testing and treatment needed to be in good health! I'm sick of seeing people whine about the color of their skin being the reason they are mistreated, it's absolutely not that it's definitely your socioeconomic status that determines your life. Don't play into this people it's just one more thing our democratic liberal government wants to push to cause a civil war believe me or not but you will see I'm right if you'd just research t for yourself instead of blindly following what the left has to say.
