Snow Day (I) (2022)
1/10
Classic Nickelodeon Cash-Grab

Warning: Spoilers
I was not a fan of this movie. It felt incredibly forced. Commercials for this movie did not prove to me that this movie was any bit worth my time, and even made me dislike the movie before laying eye on it. However, I decided to watch it anyways.

The actors... Are fine. They look as bored with the movie as I was watching it. At points, the writing was childish, which would make anyone except really young kids cringe. A specific scene that comes to mind is where Jerry Trainor, where he threatens a little kid to trim his moms toenails? Why would a grown man be threatening a child to do something like that? Even if it is a family movie, many adults would find it weird that an adult would threaten a child like that. The scenes with the older kids feel thrown in, and much like a high school musical rip off. It feels like Nickelodeon is trying to get the same fame as Disney with movies like Zombies but failing miserably.

Jerry Trainor was the only redeeming actor in the movie, probably because I've adored his work in the past. He is the reason why this movie isn't getting a 2 star review. I thought the bird was a weird addition - it sort of made the enemy character feel very childish. Although Jerry Trainor himself is a good actor, his character was absolutely insufferable - and most characters were.

The musical numbers were not very good. It looked like a lot of the background dancers didn't know what they were doing most of the time, and it looked incredibly sloppy. It looked like most actors were there because of their paycheck - again, they didn't look happy with what they were doing.

This entire movie is just a waste of time. I got absolutely no joy watching this movie. This is the classic Nickelodeon "lets remake something that is / or was popular" because we don't have any better ideas.
