The concept of Taaza Khabar is based on a magical mobile which gives Vasant information (news) about what's happening in future. Vasant , a poverty stricken public toilet manager uses this blessing (which is calls "vardaan") to make money . What it ultimately leads to is the story of the 1st season.
The series from the 4th episode or so starts giving off that "Jannat" vibes as there is a lot of betting and all. However, the core concept of this series, that is, the magical mobile, is laid very poorly. In the first episode itself, out of nowhere just randomly some app gets installed on Vasant's phone and it looked awkward.
The journey of an man from rags to riches is always entertaining to watch and so is this series. It is highly engaging right till the end. In fact , the final scene, which opens the door to S2, rouses some insane level excitement for S2 as Vasant gets a news that will throw him off guard.
Bhuvan Bam has absolutely nailed the role of a gangster like character showing all ranges of emotions. Rest others like Shriya, JD all have done fantastic.
Other flaws in the series would be the over simplistic approach to a story like this and a hurried ending to S1.
Music is a plus point.
