Last Call (I) (2012)
5/10
Raunchy and stupid, but with few funny moments tho
8 January 2023
I casually discovered LAST CALL by accident in September 2019 after finding the trailer on YouTube and I assumed it was horrible because here has a score of 4,2 and only one review to date that gives it a 2... so it must stink, right? Well, last September I finally had the courage of seeing it and, while it was a bit dumb, few moments made me genuinely laugh. Now I can discuss it.

Danny and Phil are two underachieving cousins that have to run the bar of their eccentric uncle Pete (Christopher Lloyd) after he fought with a parkimeter and ended in prison. At first things go well but thanks to their joint stupidity, Danny and Phil will have lots of trouble with the law having even a stint in jail with their uncle only to be saved by the Jewish lawyer (Tom Arnold), and then they'll continue their business in the bar.

While the movie was a bit too raunchy for my taste, there were also some funny moments that saved the movie from giving it a lower score. The two stupid cousins were funny in their stupidity and the known names (Lloyd, Arnold, Carrot Top, Tara Reid and Clint Howard) actually tried with the poor material, and the ending was good.

While it's a movie that nobody would seek or even review, I'll recommend it only for folks of my target age (I turned 24 yesterday) for seeing it with friends and have some laughs, or by just yourself.
