I'm Not Rappaport
22 January 2023
Walter Matthau was a comic genius, and had almost a second career in the cranky older man role.

This is one such role, and it probably wouldn't rank as one of my favourite of his performances.

This is a good film, with a decent premise, certainly the sort of film Hollywood doesn't make any more, but it just didn't grab me.

I thought Matthau was good in his role, but we have seen him do this sort of thing before, and it wasn't quite knit together successfully enough for me to really enjoy either his performance or the film itself.

If you're trying to see every role the great man pulled off then this is good viewing though.
