I liked it, and will watch upcoming episodes. If this entire series is like this, the first episode, perhaps the story lines will be taken from todays news. I enjoyed seeing Michael Chiklis and Jill Hennessy in the lead roles but as I was looking at upcoming episodes there are entirely different actors in each one, I guess that's okay.
A couple things that struck me. When Michael Chiklis was discussing on the stairs with his son what is going on with him he (Chiklis) kept backing up putting his son in a state of aggressiveness and command, no wonder his son was the way he was. In the courtroom the prosecutor wasn't asking questions but was testifying for him, not a single objection.
Accused reminded me of a show that aired in 2011 called Flashpoint. It was also filmed in Canada and had the same grittiness and intensity that this one had.
Enjoyed it and cannot wait for upcoming episodes.
