The Watcher (2022– )

Where was this story even going.

You know when you set up thousands dominos (no me neither), you let the first one go, and then there are a few crashes and near misses, but you give them another chance, and they get going again, until the last one falls flat and never gets up again, and you think "What was the point in all that". Well that's what it was like watching the Watcher.

So many questions, but no answers, so many bad decisions and no logical sense. In one scene where the father sends his family off to the Motel to live, he stays at home alone and just wonders around outside his property at night, without a single thought that this creepy person that is threatening him and his family could be outside in the bushes with a GUN.

And then what happens, he goes to bed alone with ALL the curtains open and windows letting the watcher know his every move, and a GUN goes off and kills his neighbours.

There was no way anybody would put themselves through this torture after hearing those horror stories, and getting those letters, just no way, they would pack up immediately.

Then by episode 4, Jennifer Coolidge character was starting to malfunction, because all her lines were the same thing, "Sell the house, sell the house", the daughter became a narcissistic psychopath overnight and called her parents racists online, Ok where did THAT come from. And poor old wife was just looking like a horny desperate housewife with no purpose.

So much time put into the scenery and interior of the house, but nothing on substance or relatability. Once the whole race storyline came in, i knew where it was going, so promptly switched off, then came here, and saw the vitriol over the ending, so glad i skipped the last 3 episodes.
