The premise of this show chronicles ordinary people in a courtroom introducing the accused. Only we have no idea yet why they are there and what they might have done. Through the episode we learn what events brought them there from the accused's POV. That's what sets this series apart. Episode one is a very topical matter about school shootings...yet it still catches you by surprise. You might think one thing happened, only for the scenario to be completely different.
It was nice seeing Jill Hennessy and Michael Chickless again. In fact each episode so far has interesting guest stars involved in the different cases.
