The Twilight Zone: The Old Man in the Cave (1963)
Season 5, Episode 7
5/10
Interesting but unsatisfactory

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know if the message is nothing can ever be questioned. That seems opposite of what Serling was for. The freedom to think. To question , to be curious is very human. I am inclined to think this was meant to be a profound episode like The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street or other episodes that said something important. Sometimes though Serling went in a different direction. This seems more like religious zealotry or cultish. Ultimately I don't find either Goldsmith or French to be inspiring or comforting leaders.

The idea the messages were coming from a computer begs the question of how this machine could function but nothing else could. The computer should have been able to help the people improve things .
