I did not know this film at all, despite the fact it was made in 1968, one of the earliest Marlène Jobert's role, and so promising one, see by yourself. The movie and directing are not so great but Marlène Jobert's presence itself is enough to justify the viewing of this sweet, moving little drama. It is a very deep, interesting character study. Horst Buchholz is also surprisingly good, convincing, supporting character but as awesome as his female co star. A social drama that would have deserved to be wider released, shown; never distributed in DVD, only VHS in the eighties. It is bittersweet but not gloomy.
