The Snow Girl (2023–2024)
4/10
Unrealistic police and wooden acting detract from the mystery of the show

Warning: Spoilers
The show follows the Martin family's search for their missing daughter Amaya, who disappears during the parade. The story is told through the parallel investigations of trainee journalist and lead Inspector, and as they dig deeper, they uncover hidden secrets that shed light on Amaya's disappearance.

But the show falls short in several areas. One of the main criticisms I have is the lead actress's wooden acting, lacking emotions and expressions that could have added depth to the character. Additionally, the show contains a significant plot hole where the police fail to investigate the fertility clinic where the victim's mother works. It seems like a careless oversight that anyone who has struggled with infertility would have a motive for abduction.

It could have been a compelling mystery thriller but the unrealistic portrayal of the police and lack of emotional depth in the lead character's acting make it difficult to invest in the story.
