A longtime lover of the Next Gen series, for all its ups and downs I loved the way it explored morality in a complex way. It explored questions more than clear answers. This feels that same way, filmic like First Contact and still uses eclectic space opera to explore inner conflict. I'm so in. Thank you for finding the voice, if you've been waiting for that old feeling I think you can find it here. Great work all round.
This series could almost be a beginning. I'm not trying to insult what came before but if you're curious to reconnect to the heart of Next Gen, you can't start with this season and applaud; with some sweaty eyeballs occasionally.
