I personally love how the timid main character, played beautifully by Seolhyun, slowly gets better as the series progressed. Though, in other characters, this progress could regress (but then get better again).
I personally love the romance between the leads, and thought it was good not adding super lovey dovey scenes immediately since both leads are sort of introverted and takes a while to warm up to others. I think it shows that expressing love doesn't limited to doing mere skinship, but also just by being together and having many many dialogues. I find that really sweet, though maybe to others it might be too bland.
For the mystery/thriller part of the drama, it seemed so easily done in a rush, and the writers didn't gave much clues, not until the last few episodes of the drama, which is too bad. It was potentially interesting, especially when we as the audience are seeing this from the female lead's perspective as a newcomer in the village. If framed better, the thriller part might be more engaging.
Another disappointing/meh kind of part of the story was just Bom's childhood friend arc. It does add a bit backstory to Bom's bullying issues, but in the end, the childhood friend was just there to arouse more of the financial status and environment differences between Bom and Jaehoon. I cringe and skipped most part of it, especially when fight scenes come up.
But I'll give an 8 because the series was overall an iyashii (comforting) series to me, aside for the thriller scenes of course. And while of course not all parts all not real-life-like, there are some that just slapped you so much since it reflects today's reality.
Also Geunho's Mom is a scene stealer for me. She's annoying at first but later on I feel sad for her because she really insists that her son is a good kid. Kudos to the actress.
