Adventure time goes in a different direction with this episode. It shows Finn's selfish and manipulative side by having him manipulate Flame Princess into battling the Ice King.
I honestly love this episode. Not Finn being manipulative, but the writing behind the episode and what it means for Finn's character moving forward. Now of course, some of the generic fans won't get it and just say that this episode was "terrible" just based off Finn's motives, the break up or any other personal feelings they have, but don't let your personal feelings blind you from the fact of how brilliant this episode is.
This episode was key, not only for Finn's wonderful character development, but for Flame Princess' life moving forward and how that positively affected her as a person and future queen.
