So The Mandalorian is back and it gets off to a pretty good start. If you haven't watched the Book of Boba Fett, make sure to watch that before you start this! This reintroduces us to where Mando is now as he travels with Grogu to reclaim his Mandalorian status. He meets up with the Armorer and other members of the watch, helps Greef Karga deal with some pirates and asks Bo Katan for help. This episode very much introduces the themes of the series and where the characters are now. It didn't feel as exciting or as tight nit as previous introductions to the series, but this was still pretty good. Also, I am interested to see what they do with Grogu as I feel like his plot arc was finished nicely in season two. Loved the intro of the Purrgil into live action and the space battle scene with the pirates. The design of Gorian Shard was great as well; will be interesting to see how he features in this series. A pretty good start, but will need a bit more meat and grit in future episodes. Score: 7.5/10.
