As a massive Star Trek The Next Generation fan, this episode brought tears to my eyes. It was absolutely the best episode of Picard.
Well I guess it took the Star Trek The Next Generation TV series two bad seasons to get perfect, as it did in season 3. So I guess, rightfully so, it took Star Trek Picard two bad seasons to get perfect, as it is so far in season 3.
The nostalgia was in full force in The Bounty. We finally see Geordi, and we finally see Deanna (other than a video message). We got to see the Starfleet vessel museum, where decommissioned ships become museum pieces, Captain Kirks Enterprise NCC-1701A, the Klingon ship Kirk and company had in Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home, Deep Space Nine's Defiant, and the USS Voyager.
But nothing prepared me for the return of Lieutenant Commander Data. Yup! Data is once agains, alive and well, at least his brain is, in another body. What a wonderful surprise seeing Brent Spiner bringing Data back to life. I can't wait to see how this turns out!!
