The film is excessively stagnant, not just because it's dialogue-driven but genuinely slow-paced. Some of the dialogues are really well-crafted and worth taking seriously, but others bored me to death.
Questioning a few of Turkey's traditions was a nice touch that helped make the story more realistic. However, the fact that it had realistic dialogues and events didn't change the fact that it was tedious. Even though the pressure and superiority of the family were conveyed, it still didn't completely disappear, and at some points, I even thought, "I argue more effectively with my friends." Only Aslihan Gurbuz was enough in this regard.
Aslihan Gurbuz's performance was quite good, especially in the first 20 minutes, there was a monologue that I liked very much. Giray Altinok was not bad either. However, I didn't like the performance of anyone other than these two, even Serpil Gül, who plays the mother role, although she is an experienced actress. She was very artificial.
Some scenes felt very forced, such as the scene where Nermin tries to open the depot's door with a hammer, her confrontation with Zeynep, and the phone conversations. Also, the fact that Veli was not dead at the end, and then died, and the metaphor of his last breath, was not surprising at all.
There could have been much better work done in terms of both the script and the supporting cast's performances, as well as the cinematography. Even though I liked some parts, it still had shortcomings.
