The first episode was a painful slog for me to get through. Everyone (except for O'Dowd and the man playing the priest) is annoyingly overacting.
Having watched three episodes now, I've decided to quit.
When the dialogue isn't absolutely unrealistic, the story is overly melodramatic. Moreover, the progression of the plot jumps around to nonsensical conclusions. It feels as though a lot was left on the cutting room floor.
I like dark comedy and I had a couple of laughs with this but, unfortunately, none of the characters are very likeable and the story itself is pretty shallow and pointless. I won't be continuing with it.
