Review of The Ravine

The Ravine (2021)
1/10
A hodge-podge of beliefs, not actually Christian
10 April 2023
Only people who do not know the Bible can claim this is a Christian-inspired movie.

For one, nowhere in the Bible do the dead use mediums to communicate, or warn, with the living.

Secondly, in Christianism there can be no forgiveness without repentance.

This film is rather a hodge-podge of confused - and confusing- spirituality, mostly narrated in a one-tone voice, with a sacharine backtrack throughout. Very boring!

The dialogue is trite, and the story illogically requests forgiveness toward a monster who killed his wife and child for no reason other than the "darkness" in him(and here a black mist is actually shown around him as he murders his family, as if viewers are too dumb to know what darkness is, and need animation!).

An inane and boring movie with no redeeming quality.
