Even though This was the longest episode, I felt I didn't want it to end.
As the team find's itself in a big funk and everyone is feeling down, the coach decides the team needs a night off. What better place to celebrate than Amsterdam?
I loved al the different little storylines within this episode. I can see why some extra run time was needed. But that was fully functional extra time the way I see it. Al the storylines got the attention they deserved. Serious topics and more casual scenes were effortlessly alternated.
Jamie and Roy biking their way through a Bromance was definitely a highlight. And it was nice to see a different side and mood of Jamie, running facts about Amsterdam. Higgins' showing of some talent in the red light district was a warm welcome as well.
The way everyone is bonding here seems important for upcoming episodes. They've learned about others and themselves and they'll probably be better for it. Coach Beard's character never disappoints and the way he returns to the bus at the end is just Epic!
Believing his mind is altered, Ted truly invents the already existing Dutch "totaalvoetbal". This will probably complete the reinventing proces for the team later on.
The episode was topped of with roles and cameos by Dutch actors, which made it a really wholesome experience for me.
