9/10
A solid series so far

Warning: Spoilers
This series so far hasn't dissapointed. We are introduced to a few new characters, there have been already some well animated battle scenes and there is a lot of room for character development. On top of that, actions has already begun and episode 2 has left us on a cliffhanger

Here's my problem with the series (a bit of spoilers): The fact that Charizard is back again is starting to get annoying. I'm pretty sure this is the 4th appearance he's had with a different trainer. First Ash, then Alain, Leon and now Friede? Now don't get me wrong, I love Charizard, but this is too far. Now you might argue by saying "well Pikachu has returned as well". The difference between Charizard and Pikachu is that Pikachu is the mascot of the series. If you ask anyone to name one pokemon he will name Pikachu. Pikachu was Ash's starter and his ace for all 25 years he's been present. Charizard is a very cool pokemon who also happens to be from the og 151 (aka gen1). But the love that Game freak has for him is insane. Giving a pokemon 2 mega evolution forms and a Gigantimax is unheard of. But him being here also stops other newer pokemon from being in the spotlight. Pokemon such as annihilape, gholdengo, baxcalibur, etc... Might get dragged into the shadow of Charizard. We had the same issue in journeys, where alot of the gen 8 mons were forgotten due to the few other cooler ones and I hope this won't be the same for Horizons moving forwards.
