I really do love this series! I love that it s the audience into every aspect from the beginning to the end, I love that it's so raw and real with Janni's experiences/reactions (and Chris's, too!) and that it showcases a different side to Japan than what most people (foreigners) would expect. And I love that it is presented with two different perspectives (one who loves outdoor adventures, and one who is not outdoorsy at all). I think that is very unique to this series and an approach I don't think I've seen before. And just seeing these nooks and crannies of Japan, it made it feel accessible and real. I really was surprised to see all the opportunities to do outdoor activities within the outskirts of Tokyo. It was enjoyable to watch, I felt like I was part of the experience and really got to learn more about what Japan has to offer.
