Me and my brother really enjoyed the show from the get go, but for my dad it took a few episodes. Now he loves it. If you don't like it straight away, don't immediately write it off like my dad almost did. For some it might be a slow burn.
Enjoyed the performances of everyone in the cast, very talented bunch, with the occasional exception of Simon Bird hamming it up a bit. I do think he's great in most things I see him in, just found him a bit much sometimes in this show. My one other gripe about this show is that it felt as though the main characters, despite belonging to this ultra restrictive, conformist cult, all 'broke the rules', pretty easily in one way or another. It felt a little unrealistic, but it is a comedy show so I'm able to look past it.
