When I was a kid, I use to watch both Spiderman and Rocket Robin hood, and this episode is about 85% taken directly from an episode of Rocket Robin hood.
I remember the first time I seen it, I was amazed that they basically stole this episode.
It's actually a very cool episode of Rocket Robin hood, and makes way more sense considering the space ships and robot ant creatures, which don't belong in Spiderman.
I didn't realize it was done by the same guy, as I was young, but it makes sense now. The villian is cool looking as well.
There is a TON of padding here with Spiderman running and swing a lot! Considering they stole most of the show in the first place, the guy must have had a deadline he couldn't meet, so he ripped off the episode and padded it.
He calls the ore Lavaside here but in Rocket Robin hood they called it Kemocite. Wierd that they would go through the effort of changing that one's name when the basically ripped off the entire episode, hehe.
They also had that crappy purple black sky thing that they use in cheap episodes here as well.
